Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Software Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to help drive our team through test planning, test script development, test, defect management, & release readiness. You will work with Product Marketing, Application Development & SaaS Operations to carry out all phases of testing activity. You will help to further define & improve our quality assurance processes.

Key Tasks:

• Define test plans, test cases, & schedule work for offshore team members
• Assess, develop & improve team testing skills
• Manage a growing suite of manual & automated regression tests
• Assist scoping and estimating test activities as part of release planning
• Create test plans, and develop & execute tests

• Communicate clearly & effectively regarding status of software quality
• Work with the leadership team to define, institute, enforce & continuously improve our software quality processes
• Balance immediate needs with longer-term strategic goals
• Develop & report on software quality metrics

• Strong motivation and ability to work independently

Pluses:

• Java, JavaScript skills are a strong plus
• Experience with corporate real estate or corporate or financial real estate software

Education/Experience:

• B.S. or B.A in Quality Control, Computer science or related field (Masters preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software quality assurance
• Minimum 3 years of experience testing Java EE or J2EE applications
• Knowledge of SQL and relational data structures
