Bricsnet Expands Executive Team with New Vice President of Product Development

IFMA Fellow and former CEO of Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate will lead software provider's drive to create next generation solutions

SAN FRANCISCO, November 16, 2011 -- Bricsnet FM America Inc., a leading provider of software solutions for management of corporate real estate and facilities, today announced that Andy Fuhrman has joined the company's executive team as Vice President of Product Development. Fuhrman, a globally recognized thought leader in workplace solutions and services, brings to Bricsnet a long history of accomplishments, focused on development of business processes and technologies to improve performance and reduce costs in the management of the three most significant bottom-line expenses for businesses: Labor, real estate and information technology.

"I am delighted to add Andy's knowledge and expertise to our management team," said David Karpook, President and CEO of Bricsnet. "Andy's combination of skills and experiences in consulting and development of technology standards for the real estate and construction industries his years of service to clients and his deep knowledge of facility management and real estate business practices are unmatched in the industry. I am confident that his leadership of our solution development efforts will surprise and energize the industry."

Fuhrman has most recently served as Director of Customer Solutions for Cisco Systems Smart+Connected Communities initiative. Prior to that he served for six years as the first CEO of the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate, a non-profit organization whose mission is the development of interoperable data exchange standards designed to optimize data transaction time, cost and quality among key stakeholders in the real estate community, including owners, tenants, occupiers, investors, developers, service providers, vendors, suppliers and others.

Earlier in his career, Fuhrman provided consulting services, hands-on systems development and other services for a list of clients that includes U.S. General Services Administration, Pacific Gas & Electric, PeopleSoft, Cisco Systems, Los Angeles Unified School District and many others. His background includes twenty years in commercial construction within Silicon Valley for the high tech, healthcare and biotech sectors during which time he obtained his Building Inspector certification from the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO). His combination of skills served well as a key architect in Silicon Valley's Smart Permitting Program developed in conjunction with Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network and the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Group.

In 2009, Fuhrman was named a Fellow of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), the world's leading professional association for facility professionals, a distinction that recognized his years of service to the profession.

"This is a very exciting time to be working in the field of information technology, particularly as hardware, software and broadband are evolving to enable a broad range of stakeholders throughout the supply chain to optimize our customers' OPEX and CAPEX," said Fuhrman. "I'm looking forward to working with David Karpook and his team to both craft a great product and to provide an exceptional customer experience."
